WaveLearn is Kenya's first dedicated e-learning platform. It enables educators to create and sell online courses and learners to gain new skills with expert-led content. The platform features native M-Pesa payments, live streaming sessions, and auto-generated verifiable certificates.
How does M-Pesa payment work on WaveLearn?
WaveLearn integrates directly with M-Pesa (Safaricom), Kenya's mobile money service. Learners can purchase courses with a simple M-Pesa push prompt — no international card or bank account required. Instructors receive their earnings directly via M-Pesa.
Who can create courses on WaveLearn?
Any educator, professional, or institution can apply to become an instructor on WaveLearn. Instructors build video-based courses, set their own prices in Kenyan shillings (KES), and earn directly through the platform. Universities and organisations can apply for institutional licensing.
How do I earn a certificate on WaveLearn?
WaveLearn automatically generates a verified PDF certificate when you complete all lessons in a course. Each certificate has a unique verification code that employers and institutions can validate at www.wavelearn.co.ke/certificates/verify.
Is WaveLearn free to use?
WaveLearn offers both free and paid courses. Learners can browse and enroll in free courses at no cost. Paid courses are priced in Kenyan shillings (KES) and can be purchased via M-Pesa or card.
